Sedona & Cottonwood Camping 1/29/24

Sedona was breathtaking! Monday afternoon we drove down 89A to get to Sedona. What a crazy road! But the VT Roadhouse Express chugged along!

Once in Sedona, we visited the Chapel Of The Holy Cross which has incredibly unique architecture, built right into the red rocks. There was a very reverent quiet in the chapel. I was brought to tears with the energy of those in the chapel at the time as well as the energies of all who had visited and prayed there in the past. Some believe the church was built on a “vortex”. According to Sedona.net, “Some people describe the energy of the vortexes as a subtle electromagnetic force, while others describe it as more metaphysical or spiritual energy. Whether or not you believe in the existence of the vortexes, many people find the natural beauty and peacefulness of the Sedona area to be a calming and inspiring place to visit.”

We then drove on to Cottonwood, where we camped overnight at the Dead Horse Ranch State Park. After taking a couple mile hike around the lovely park trails, we settled into a nice camping spot where we had a little fire before hitting the hay.
